Last Week Fraunhofer HHI announced that the new standard H.266/VVC Video Compression code has been Finalized. The new standard offers improved compression, which reduces data requirements by around 50% of the bit rate relative to the previous standard H.265 /HEVC without compromising visual quality.
H.266 should be especially beneficial to 4K and 8K video streaming,it is deemed ideal for any kind of video, though, from SD to 8K and including high dynamic range video and omnidirectional 360° video.
In next few years, HICOTEK will devote to the research and delevelopment of related hardwares such as Cameras and Recorders.
